AT&T, the leading telco, has collaborated with Indian multinational IT provider Tech Mahindra, to build an open source AI project named Acumos, hosted by the nonprofit Linux Foundation. The companies are providing this platform with an intention to make artificial intelligence accessible to everyone by making the AI apps development easier. “With the Acumos Project, AT&T and Tech Mahindra are leading the way in bringing AI and machine learning tools to the developer community,” said Jim Zemlin, executive director of The Linux Foundation. “Making it easy for developers to get involved and to really steer the ecosystem around the project in the direction they want it to go is the key to making the Acumos platform successful.” While the Linux Foundation will sustain and host the Acumos project, AT&T and Tech Mahindra will contribute with the programming codes.
