(The Hosting News) – The Canadian Competition Bureau announced it would be investigating Google Canada for engaging in anti-competitive and anti-trust acts.
According to the Financial Post, the Competition Bureau filed documents to the Federal Court of Canada requesting Google’s records pertaining to the company’s search and advertising business as part of an investigation into anti-competitive practices.
The documents suggest that Google controls at least one market relating to internet search and advertising, which is in violation to the Canadian anti-competitive laws.
