You will keep getting dissappointed with any other free web hosting. Try something for a low price and you will not regret it if you select the best one for your needs. Why do you need a hosting for? Simple blogging, business or ecommerce, reselling? Do you need a good customer support. Try look for the right one at http://bestcheapwebhosting.org
Good luck.

All free hosting plans are about the same. You will never be completely happy with free hosting. Try a cheap paid-hosting for a change.
Would you say $4.95 for a full year of web hosting a good deal? Would paying less than $5 for a year be reasonable for a more reliable hosting plan? Are you waiting for a once-in-a-lifetime crazy hosting promotion so you do not need to jump from one free hosting to another?
I found a hosting company giving crazy promotion only for this month (July 2009), so hurry. I pasted the link in the source below.
Have fun.

Personally if you are going to build a website that you want total control over and for it to be sustainable you are much better off paying for hosting.
I reckon the answers above have covered a few of the free properties people using to build web pages on the internet but for to build your own website always go for paid hosting as putting your eggs in the free basket can be quite dangerous.
Reading reviews of paid hosting will show you that hosting isn’t all that expensive and there are some very good prices out there.

To be perfectly honest… your gonna get the same deal with just about any free hosting! You get what you pay for.
Personally I use NameCheap.com. I have used them for a few years now and they are really good.
If you want free web space you could use;
-Tripod
-Webs.com
-Weebly
-WebStarts.com
-SynthaSite
-Wikispaces
-Google Sites
-Squidoo.com (which you can actually make money from)
-Blogger.com (start your own blog and make some money from it through Adsense)
These are all trusted websites.
Best wishes,
Stacey :)

If your current internet provider is Earthlink, AOL, SBC Global and others which provide a homepage; you can easily FTP your own webpage designs as a new homepage. And using a redirection service such as mydomain.com or the forwarding of a parked domain name at godaddy.com, you can easily “mask” the homepage URL with a proper domain name. So in a sense, you have a working ecommerce website disguised as a homepage while still paying your normal monthly Internet access and hosting fee.
Good luck!

Heck pay a few bucks a month it’s well worth it. Check out a company I use for hosting over 30 different domains – it’s called aqhost and you can find them at http://www.aqhost.com – For like $3.00 / Month you can get your own e-mail (yourname@yourdomain.com), the list just goes on – believe me it’s well worth it – no ads, no banners, plus all the extras you get.
It’s well worth it trust me!
