tut was extremlly helpful, went through dozens of others that made no sence, im now trying to put my server online with my domain name with no progress, you should do a video tut on it because google didnt offer much haha

@ATePIC Webmin is a nice tool but I feel it to be a security risk. But it is nice tool I just prefer the non-gui approach

when i use the sudo vim command it doesnt find the vim command part…did it not install apache?

Any will do so long as it’s up-time is high (don’t use dial-up or mobile broadband) and it’s doesn’t violate a use policy your ISP has set in place. Many ISP’s also filter and block you when you run a home based web server, be prepared for that possibility.

If you are running Ubuntu 9.10 you have to do sudo apt-get install vim If you are using an older version then sudo apt-get install vim-full

i wonder if I could use this on 10.04 amd 64 iso running in vpc on xp bootcamp partition macbook pro… my capstone project I have to have linux server with an intranet web page… send me comments on this please
