cPanel, one of the most widely used hosting control panels, today announced shifting to an account-based pricing and licensing structure. The new structure will be applicable to cPanel partners, cPanel Store customers and distributors. cPanel’s pricing and licensing structure will now be standardized for all the customers and will include multiple Tiers. As stated in the cPanel mail that was sent to the partners and distributors today, the move is aimed to simplify the process of adding new servers and to make it easier for users to become a cPanel customer. cPanel had defined its original pricing structure nearly twenty years ago and the hosting world has undergone complete transformation since then, with servers becoming powerful enough to run hundreds of websites on a single processor.
